Information Systems
The information systems (IS) area seeks to improve the quality of life in Nevada and the
region through better understanding of the applications and uses of technology-based information
systems. Our program offers students, scholars and members of the community a home to reflect on
the ways that technology-based information systems can better facilitate business, government,
personal and organizational processes. The IS area represents a community of scholars striving to
understand the effects of technology on organizations and individuals. We are dedicated to
producing excellent business professionals capable of leading future organizations in a global
digital economy.
