How to Declare a Major or Minor in the College of Business Administration (COBA)
New College of Business Administration students are admitted as pre-majors rather than in a specific major. Pre-major students may not enroll in upper-division business courses (300 or above) until they have completed the pre-business core with a 2.75 or above.
Requirements for acceptance to a major:
Completion of the 9 pre-business courses with overall GPA of 2.75 or higher.
Maximum repeat of 4 classes
Requirements to declare a COBA minor:
Must complete the pre-business core and be declared into a COBA major. Students with majors in other colleges should contact the COBA Undergraduate Advising Center to declare a COBA minor. All minors offered in the College of Business Administration must be completed with a grade point average of 2.5 or higher. In order to graduate with a COBA minor, it must be posted on your DARS.

Please note:
These requirements are the minimum standard that all student are
encouraged to surpass. Success in a major or program is dependent
upon a student developing strong quantitative and English usage
skills.
Requirements for Graduation:
- Complete pre-business core with GPA of 2.75 or higher to be accepted to a major.
- Complete all business courses with GPA of 2.5 or higher.
- Complete all courses in the major field with GPA of 2.75 or higher.
- Complete 128 credits or more with an overall university GPA of 2.0 or higher.
