This second annual West Coast Economics Teaching Conference is designed to address the specific interests and needs of teachers of college-level economics. This West Coast conference mirrors the Teaching Economics Conference on the East Coast, which has been held at Robert Morris University for the last 20 years. Past participants represent over 100 colleges and universities from 35 states, the District of Columbia, and Canada. The focus of the West Coast conference will be on content and techniques of teaching economics, particularly at the principles level. Participants will have the opportunity to share pedagogical ideas and experiences as well as to explore new topics for classroom integration. In addition to scheduled keynote speakers, the conference provides an exceptional opportunity for collegial interaction in smaller, participant-initiated sessions on topics of common interest. Participant presentations and an optional social outing will be included as complements to the scheduled speakers.
The conference will be held at the University of Nevada, Reno campus. Use the left navigation menu for travel and lodging information as well as registration and call for paper information.
