Macau/Hong Kong Travel Programs
The
Macau/Hong Kong Study Tour - Wintermester is a class that will take students to Macau and Hong Kong, two special administrative regions of the People's Republic of China, during the 2010 Wintermester. Students will study the economic, political, and cultural complexities of the newly established gaming resort destination, which has already surpassed Las Vegas in total gaming revenues.
The
Macau/Hong Kong Friends & Alumni Travel Tour is an opportunity for friends & alumni to encounter Macau and Hong Kong firsthand and tour many cultural and historic sites without academic requirements.
Gaming Management Minor
The
Gaming Managment Minor is an interdisciplinary course of study under the College of Business Administration that was approved by the Board of Regents in 1994. The minor is open to all students of the University. The minor in Gaming Management will serve to augment any chosen Bachelor's degree, providing the recipient with the opportunity to apply their major in the gaming industry and related fields. This will serve to improve the level of professionalism and training for business students seeking career opportunities in the casino industry and in related fields such as gaming regulation. The program provides a basis of business and technical knowledge in the field of gaming management.
MBA – Gaming Management Specialization
The
Master's in Business Administration Program allows a student to choose nine elective credits that have an industry or functional specialization. The majority of gaming management courses are offered at 400/600 level thereby allowing the MBA student to pursue a specialization in gaming management.
Gaming Employee Registration Training
The Institute in cooperation with the Employee Registration Unit (ERU) of the Enforcement Division of the Gaming Control Board provides gaming industry human resources professionals with training in regulatory compliance in the hiring process of new employees. The
Gaming Employee Registration Training is a review of the complete employee registration process and addresses changes in Nevada statutes and regulations which impact Human Resource representatives.
