Jane Bessette, Director of Career Connections, was elected to the Board of the Mountain Pacific Association of Colleges and Employers (MPACE) as the Membership Chair. MPACE is the regional professional association for university and college career services and recruiting professionals representing organizations in the twelve western states of Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.

The NSBDC Center for Regional Studies unveiled.
The Center for Regional Studies announced its presence through the Regional Development Summit 2008 on March 28th. The event was held at the new Joe Crowley Student Union and was attended by over 400 investors, developers, builders, and others associated with economic development in the region.

The Most Outstanding Senior honor went to Chris Driscoll. Driscoll who will earn a Bachelor of Science degree in economics, and will graduate this May. Associate Professor of Logistics Craig Carter received the Outstanding Faculty Researcher of the Year award.
